About Lundbo

Lundbo is a small family studio in San Clemente, California. We make original children’s series: books first, then read-alongs and, later, episodes.

How we make our books

The name

Lundbo is Swedish. Lund means grove, and bo means to dwell, or a nest. Together: grove home. We say it “LUND-bo.” Lundbo is also the little storyteller who lives in the grove and tells every story. You’ll meet him soon.

Who makes the stories

Written by Sara Lundquist

Characters and art by Blake Lundquist

When we write a story together, it says so: Sara and Blake Lundquist.

What we’re making now

Ten books to start, two for each of the five series. They arrive together in early 2027. Read-alongs come next and, later, episodes.

How we work

We make a few books at a time. Each one is read aloud many times, tried at the kitchen table, and checked against five quality gates before it is released: story, character, kids, craft, and release.

One world

Every series lives in Sandpiper Point, a made-up stretch of Southern California coast much like the one outside our door.
